How to become a Citiwide Franchisee

Your Journey to Success

We understand that investing in a franchise can be a very difficult and drawn out decision. We want you to be certain that a Citiwide franchise is right for you before you commit to joining us.

Following is a general guideline of the steps involved in our recruitment process.

Step 1: Do one of the following

  • Download our FREE Franchise Information pack;
  • Call us on 1300 732 630  and ask to speak to our Franchise Recruitment Manager; or
  • Submit an online enquiry form.

Once we receive your enquiry, our Franchise Recruitment Manager will have an informal chat with you over the phone to better understand your career aspirations and answer some of your questions.

Step 2: Obtaining more information

If you're happy to look further into this opportunity, please send us a signed copy of the Confidentiality Agreement contained in the information pack. Once you return this document with a copy of your resume, we'll arrange a meeting with our Franchise Recruitment Manager. This personal meeting provides the opportunity for you to get to know more about Citiwide and evaluate whether our Franchise model is a good fit for you. It also gives us the opportunity to get to know better.

Step 3: Second meeting

At this meeting we'll explore the details. We'll get to understand your expectations from the business and we will share with you what Citiwide expects from you as a Franchisee.

Using our specifically developed WHAT IF software program we'll explore cash flows and the profitability of your business. This is a further opportunity for you to investigate any areas of our business that you are unsure about.

Step 4: Digging deep

At this point we will issue you with a Disclosure Document, a draft copy of the Franchise Agreement and discuss with you all legal documents. We expect that you will obtain independent legal and financial advice and share your plans with your friends and family.

One of the key elements in your decision process is talking to others who have followed the same path so we invite you to talk privately with our franchisees.

Step 5: Franchise Application Form

If you’re still enthusiastic about joining us, we will ask you to complete our formal Franchise Application Form. This confidential document gathers detailed information about you and your financial position.

Step 6: Profiling

We care about those who join our franchise network and ensure we get the people who fit best. All going well, we will invite you to answer a profiling questionnaire to help us understand your strengths and abilities and how easily you will adapt to the demands of your new business.

Step 7: Franchise Documents

Our Solicitors will provide you or your legal team with a full set of documents for execution. You will need to wait a minimum of 14 days (cooling off period) to sign and return these documents to us.

Step 8: Induction & Accreditation

Training starts. Prior to operating as a mortgage broker you will need to complete your Certificate IV in Financial Services (Mortgage Broking). We can assist you complete this course in minimum time. We will then facilitate your accreditation with the various banks and other financial institutions that we work with.

Step 9: Launch your business!
